Merry Christmas 2010!
Every year I try to do Christmas Cards on a Budget, and so far I've been lucky to find the greatest deals ever. This year our Christmas Cards cost $10.26 for 40 cards w/envelopes. Yes, I am quite pleased with this success! Now I do love the cool cards with card stock backing and funky print/design, and maybe someday will cave in to spending a bit more money. BUT I always keep in mind that eventually the cards get thrown away. So does it really matter how "fancy" your card really is? We got our cards through Walgreens last week when their cards were already 25% off, plus add the coupon code for an extra $10 off and viola! You get a budget friendly Christmas card. And let me fill you in on another secret....I've never paid for a 5x7 or 8x10 print in our house. Nope. I just watch the Walgreens ads, and about every 3-4 weeks, they offer a free print. No purchase necessary. So for all you Bargain Betty's out there, check out Walgreens Photo online. No, I'm not getting paid to write this, but that is a good idea! Hmmmm.
Moving on to more important matters. Another great way I saved on our Christmas Cards is by being a friend to a great photographer, Celine Reimer, who lives close by! One VERY cold & windy day we both swapped taking pictures of each other's families, and I was soooo happy with how the pics turned out. Celine, you rock!
