almost a month ago, we celebrated memorial weekend by taking our last "family of 4" trip to vail, co. we had a really fun time, but it is odd to say that it was a bit on the chilly side while we were there. i say it's odd b/c we've been facing unbelievable hot & dry weather. (please keep all the families in the colorado springs/fort collins areas in your prayers. we've been praying hard for rain!) now that we've been having such high temperatures, i shouldn't have ever complained about the cooler weather we had on our trip!

i thought my belly was HUGE in this pic at the time, but you should see it now! my has it grown! yikes!
my loves
love both of their expressions here
we ate at an amazing breakfast joint 2 days in a row. it was that good (and i'm not even a big breakfast person). if you ever find yourself in the vail area, it's called north side cafe. pure goodness.
a drive through beaver creek.
we took a very bumpy ride up the mountain to pine lake. once we got there, we weren't sure it was worth the hour drive, bumps like crazy and the very cold weather, but the view was very pretty.
zoe & i warming up by the fire
what's the best thing about hotels when you're a kid? why pools of course. that's all the kiddos wanted to do. seriously, we could just go to a hotel here in denver and as long as it had a pool, the kids would think it was the best vacay ever. i was that kid too.
bart looking all preppy. :)
on our trip down from the mountains, we stopped at auntie sylvia's pad to celebrate the actual memorial day. what a good time it always is with her and the fam!
"kunnemann" girls

this pic is out of order. i think i was 31 weeks here? um memo to self, horizontal stripes and pregnant, ya, not a good combo! :)
