hi jude! you are actually 2 months old, but i am just now getting your 1 month old posting up! i wish i could promise that i will only be behind w/posts & pics while you're still a little bitty, but i don't think that i could fulfill that. i do promise that i won't forget to take pics of you though. i was #4 & middle kiddo of 7 in my family line up, and there just aren't that many pics or written info about my early days as a little tyke. don't worry mom & dad, i forgive you and understand how busy you must have been! :) (i also realize you guys didn't live in our digital world where taking pictures is as easy as picking up the phone and one simple snap, title & upload!).
back to jude dude, your first month of life kind of feels like a blur. at 2 weeks old you traveled with us to imperial, ne where you got to meet all of your family on mommy's side, enjoyed being in the parade for your grandpa kunnemann's 60th bday surprise and got a taste of the famous chase county fair (all from your stroller/carseat combo). :) at 4 weeks we took a long road trip to omaha to enjoy labor day weekend with the mccoy family. you had your first lake/beach experience there, but i don't know how much you really "soaked" in- no pun intended. tee hee. there you also met all of your mccoy cousins/aunts/uncle/etc. along the way, we stopped in minden, ne to meet your great grandpa & grandma finkner (mommy's grandparents). we toured pioneer village, drove by the place where mommy & daddy were married, and enjoyed a lovely visit by gg & great grandpa. so as you can see little guy, our family is always on the go, and your arrival didn't stop us from going. :)
in your first 2 weeks, you slept a lot. i enjoyed it, but it made nursing a bit difficult as i was always having to wake you up to finish eating. in weeks 3 & 4, you sure wanted to be held a lot. i think you got spoiled by all the holding that was going on with the families. well, i might have spoiled you too! overall, your 1st month was smooth sailing, and i am so thankful for that. you are such a perfect addition to our family, and are so very loved by all of us. your big sister & brother never let an hour go by without giving you 100 kisses & hugs. here are your official 1 month pics- thanks celine for the cute onesie month by month stickers! love them!
such a big boy, sitting up! well, propped up :)
i just wanted to make sure i got the beginning stages of the chunky legs captured (if he goes on the same path his sister & brother did) love those rolls! here they look pretty skinny.
this quilt was made by his great aunt beverly (bart's mom's sister). i love it so much, gifts like these are priceless.
truly the best pictures are the ones that are totally natural, no staging, no outfit or scenery planning,
just life happening.
and the sweetest moments captured.
jude, you have a fan club.
