we've had some amazing weather here in january & february. i love it! but as a farmer's daughter, i wish we would get some more snowfalls for the moisture. we were able to go to the zoo with john & tracy when they were here visiting over the new year's holiday. it was a perfect day as it wasn't too busy nor too cold & a lot of the animals were making their appearances.
the gang. poor jude, hidden in the stroller back there :)
mr. max
thanks for visiting us ahma & papa! we sure had a good time!
zoe & max enjoying the last nights in front of the twinkle of the christmas tree.
we took xmas decorations down....very late. i was too tired to take them down immediately, so why not wait till the middle of january?
this was my grandma kunnemann's christmas tree. one of my most favorite xmas decorations i own. i sure miss you grandma. the kiddos would have LOVED you. i tell them lots of stories about you & all the fun we had.
took down all the xmas cards. i love xmas cards & can't make myself throw them away. yep, i have all of our xmas cards we've ever gotten.
jude showing off his rolling over skills
and practicing sitting up
youtubing animal video clips, one of the kids' favorite things to do with daddy
this is how they are most of the time...jude in zoe's arms & max nearby.
mamma's boy 100%
i just thought this was funny. as a punishment, bart took max's most beloved cars away from him till he could earn them back. it cracked me up to see that bart lined them all up ( on top of the fridge) exactly like max does when he's playing cars. boys & their cars.
p.s. that didn't stop max from getting his cars. he drug a chair over to the countertop, climbed up on it, & reached to get every single one of his cars down. oh max, you keep us on our toes.
max in his favorite batman pjs ever. these are hand-me downs from cousin alex
visiting auntie cailyn. jude hardly ever lays his head down like this. cailyn has the magic.
playing is so tiring.
guy time.
max & zoe learned a super cute song at mops & now whenever max wears these pjs, he sings, "the superman song"
zoe worked very hard to set the table & "make dinner" for us one night. it was soooo sweet. i love this about zoe's personality. she's such a giver & a servant.
we had leftover guacomole (zoe calls it "rockamolie") & tortilla chips.
she even made labeled place mats for all of us.
melts me.
sometimes i take naps on the couch with mom...why not?
max in the zone. the auto zone.
being shy
wrestle time...already
daddy really is the best
so handsome
for some reason, both zoe & max have decided to do this when they get nervous, shy, or don't know what else to do. kid nervous habit, check.
i think zoe & jude look quite a bit alike here
can never get them all to cooperate, someone is always doing their own thing. oh well.
the rest of our family didn't get the memo, but max did. the memo: backwards day.
every monday is laundry day. this is only half of it. and yes, i air dry a majority of our clothes. takes double the time, but i swear it makes clothes stay in top notch condition. this is an anal side of me.
he's always entertained by the kids...which is good that they love each other so much. bad when they are doing their own thing & jude can't stand to be alone.
this is max's favorite to look at me when i get the camera out...i don't ask him to do anything, he just automatically goes to this cheesey smile.
meanwhile zoe's first reaction is to make a silly face or stick her tongue out.
outdoor fun. proof that we had fun: max's grubby hands.
jude loved it outside.
esp. feeling the grass. when we first put zoe outside as a baby, she HATED the feeling of grass.
mama zoe teaching zoe how to play
zoe took these pics. she's got some talent behind the lens.
oh hey mom
