Home Sweet Home

There she is folks,

ALL of our "earthly possessions!"

Yep, an ENTIRE truck load FULL!

And here's our new home

with ALL of our STUFF!

So we did it.  We officially made the big move.  We are now in our new home, I have now opened, unpacked, and put away every single box & item that we own, and we are sleeping in our OWN beds at night.  What a good feeling to finally be at this point.  We are so thankful for a place to live and are already enjoying our town, our neighborhood, and our home.  Let me give you a brief timeline of the course of events over the last 3-4 months:
June:
  • Find out we're officially moving.
  • Spend LONG hours getting the house ready to put on the market while gathering our belongings and packing for our temporary move.
July
  • Move into our furnished apartment (provided by Bart's work) and live there for 2 months.
  • Had an offer on our house & we accepted within 3 weeks.
  • Look at SOOOOOOOOO many houses and was completely overwhelmed.
August:
  • Traveled back to Omaha for my sister's wedding & visited family
  • Went to a family reunion in Custer, South Dakota
  • Closed on our house in Omaha! PTL!
  • Made an offer on this house.
September:
  • Move into my parent's place in Fort Collins for a month while we wait for our new house to close.
  • Sept. 30, close on our new house
October:
  • Paint a few rooms in the new house and have carpet replaced (prior owners had 2 large dogs inside, mastiffs to be exact).
  • move into our home and unpack more boxes than I can count.
  • And this weekend we are headed back to Omaha to visit our new baby nephew! Can't wait!
So it's been a bit hectic, yet God's timing on selling/buying a house was absolutely perfect.  We are so thankful for that.  And now on to decorating, one of my most favorite things to do!
