baby shower

have i every mentioned that i have a very talented family?  well if i haven't, then i'm going to go ahead and take this moment to mention it, or better yet, brag about it.  because really, they're worth bragging about.  we planned a diaper shower for christel, who just had her FIFTH baby.  i wanted to make it really special because christel is usually the one busy planning/decorating for our events (grads/weddings/showers/etc.).  so how blessed can i be that i have a florist (cailyn), a baker (cara), an artist/go anywhere (courtney) for sisters, and an all around good at anything i put my hands on, aunt (sylvia), and a gracious hostess (who has hosted more parties in her home than i can count) for a mother.  and to be honest, all of those ladies are amazing at flowers/decor/art/baking/etc.  so thanks ladies for using your talents to help make a fun & fabulous baby shower!  here are some photo highlights (we were going for the shabby chic theme):

although these flower puffs needed more attention to "fluffing" out, they were super easy to make and there are a million tutorials online if you want to do one yourself.  i for sure will be making these for more parties.

cara, the cookie master, made these pretty little things

i've told bart this before, i don't think there is anything creative out there that aunt sylvia can't do!
she's amazing! she picked out all of the beautiful flowers & made most of the food!

i look a little tired, maybe i did make a "simple" shower a bit more work! :)

another easy decor piece, i just traced a large triangle on different fabric pieces, cut them with pinking sheers so i wouldn't have to sew the ends, and then sewed them onto a blanket trim.
