Last weekend, July 15, 2011, Bart & I celebrated our 6th Wedding Anniversary. We celebrated on our anniversary day by going out on a family date to a super fab pizza joint call Dads & Dudes. The pizza was wonderful, the weather was perfect out (aside from the light drizzle we had for about 5 minutes) to eat on their patio, and the kids were just little

This was actually pretty sweet, Zoe was helping Max get his shoes on.
Maybe they're not so bad after all! :)
From the other side of the heart:
Wow! 6 years. To some, that may seem like forever, to others it may seem like a blink, to me its seems like a perfect 6 years. Not because our whole 6 years of marriage has been perfect, but because God's perfect plan has transpired in front of us throughout these 6 years. Our highlights:
Year 1: I student taught in the fall, Bart continued to work at his job he had prior to getting married. We lived in the tiniest apartment in Elkhorn, NE, and it was a blast.
Year 2: First year of teaching at MNHS, Bart remained w/the same company, and we moved into the sweetest apartment midtown Omaha. We had some really rockin times living in that apartment, enjoying the mid/downtown life. We also got pregnant at the end of the year and were sooo excited.
Year 3: We started the year off a bit rough when I had a miscarriage and had to have a D&C surgery. That was hard. Probably more so for me, but I'm glad it was that way because I needed someone to be strong. Bart filled that role. My heart & soul ached for that baby. In God's grace & perfect timing, we were blessed with another baby, and she came at the end of year, Dec. 6, 2007. Best feeling ever. God also provided us with a new job for Bart that allowed us insurance and for me to stay home. PTL!!
Year 4: We enjoyed our new life as parents and bought our first home. I LOVED that home and miss it. We put a lot of sweat into fixing that place up, but we also had a lot of great memories there too. We hosted a lot of get togethers that are some of my favorite "friend memories". Zoe was the apple of our eyes, and we spent a lot of time going on family walks, being mesmerized by every new thing Zoe did, and growing together as a couple through the teamwork of parenting.
Year 5: We didn't know that there was any room left in our hearts to love another being as much as we did Zoe, but baby #2 changed that. Max came along, and our hearts grew and were filled up even more. Right before we celebrated our 5th anniversary, we found out we were moving to the Denver, CO area! What an exciting, yet nervous feeling at the same time. God opened the doors, and we took a leap of faith.
Year 6: We've been living in Parker, CO and beginning to really feel at home here. We have been on more family adventures and just Bart & I dates than ever due to the endless placces to go here. Moving to another state, 8 hours away, isn't an easy task, but we've never felt more at home. This last year I've felt like we've grown the most in our marriage because we've relied so much on going through the newness of a new home town together.
Thanks Bart for the last 6 years. We've really got this thing called crazy love!

Congrats! Guess Bart didn't want to join you for the goofy pix. He's smiling perfectly in all of them! :)
