baby talk

the announcement to the family:
p.s. isn't our generation funny?  we make "announcements" for everything.  sometimes i think its kind of silly, but overall i enjoy being a part of it.  obviously.  why not be creative and cheesy at the same time? :) and this announcement is definitely cheesy!

*for all of you observant eyes, notice anything "off" about the 2nd picture?  maybe something turned in the wrong direction.  i noticed it right away, and of course bart still doesn't see it! :)

and here's our lucky #3.  this is from our 12 week appt/ultrasound.  the ultrasound tech said that little baby was being so cooperative while she was doing all the measurements/pics.  dear baby, please tell me this is a sign of your personality:  cooperative and go with the flow!  :)  i can dream right?!

and to answer the many questions i've gotten (by the way, thanks to all for the nice congrats/texts/fb messages, etc.) :

due date:  august 10, 2012 (tomorrow i'll be 14 weeks along, welcome 2nd trimester!!)
this means 3 important things for me:
  1. our little one will be born very close to his/her future cousin- heidi & lee mccoy's lil babe is due august 2!  so excited!
  2. this is my first summer baby (zoe & max were winter babes).  this means i will be very BIG when it is very HOT.   you will probably find me floating around the pool all summer long to stay cool and comfortable.  this also means that many women will be very jealous of my "girlish figure" at the pool.  hahaha.  yikes, big belly in maternity swimsuit. it could be worse right?
  3. both bart & i will be celebrating our 30th birthdays in august, so i kind of feel like this baby is a special b-day gift to us!
how ya feeling?  very sick from week 7 to present.  it's ok though, i have the miracle pill, zophran, and it's all worth it in the end.  as much as i'm not a fan of the whole pregnancy process, the miracle and blessing of it all far exceeds the sickness and discomfort.  i never want to take for granted this blessing and season of my life.

will you find out the gender?  yes, i'd find out right now if i could.  i like to plan.  i like to shop. i like to decorate baby rooms.  i like to dream and imagine what baby will be like.    it's still a surprise to find out, just 20 weeks early!! :)

do you think you know what you're having?  hmm, with both zoe & max, i had no clue, so i never guessed.  with this one, i have a feeling it's a boy, but i have no proven track record on this matter.  we'll see in 6 weeks!

what do you want?  a healthy baby.  for zoe, a sister because she talks about wanting a sister ALL the time.  my sisters are my best friends, so i also treasure that relationship.  for max, a brother because he's soooooo wild and more aggressive that a brother would be good for him to have someone to rough house with  during the day.  you should see me try to "rough house" with max.  pathetic.  at least i try.  hehe.

was this planned?  it wasn't prevented! ;)

are the kiddos excited?  you have no idea.  they both were thrilled when we told them, and zoe has been cleaning out her doll cradle and organizing her baby stuff all in preparation for baby to come.  it is soooo sweet.  max constantly lifts up the bottom of my shirt to look at my growing belly and says, "hi baby!"  nearly every day, they both request to watch the baby videos from babycenter.com to see what baby is doing inside mommy's tummy.  i can't wait for them to hold and love on their new baby brother or sister!

well, that's most of the questions i can think of.  we are very excited for another love to enter our world.  he/she already has my heart, and i can't wait to cradle our little one in my arms.
