vegas baby...i mean with a baby...and two kids

so bart came home one day with some good news & bad news.  he started by saying, the good news is i  was awarded another trip for being the top in my region! right away i was like yahooo!  then he followed it by saying, the bummer part is it is in vegas this year.  (last year it was in florida, remember these? TRIP 2012 )  i know some of you out there may like vegas, but i'm the person that isn't that crazy about it.  i think once you've been there, you really have nothing to go back for (except for some of the shows/concerts).  i really don't like everything that vegas represents either, but i won't get on my soap box.  :)  but a free trip is a free trip, AND there are a lot of fun, clean things to do.  so the original plan was to leave the older kiddos behind so we could have a semi-getaway, but things didn't work out.  so plan b:  "kids, we're going to vegas!"  :)

as soon as we got out of the airport, we wanted lunch.  when we saw the in-n-out sign, we pulled over immediately.  tons of our friends rave about this joint, so it was time to put the rumors to the test.
result:  muy bien

since we had the whole family with us, we opted to stay some extra days & make a lil' family vacay.  yes i know, vegas for family vacay?  what are you smoking?  BUT, we really did have a good time & surprisingly found quite a bit to do for clean, family entertainment.  before we joined the company retreat, we stayed on on our own dollar at this hotel called the aliante.  and guess how much we payed per night....a grand total of $35.  yeppers, thank you groupon. when we found out we were going to vegas, both bart & i started watching the groupons in vegas.  so just a little tip for you next time you're thinking of traveling.  p.s. we also check tripadvisor.com to read reviews and ratings before we buy groupons on hotels.

excited to be at the hotel & go swimming

classic story:  the girls trying to be girls & mr. max crashing the party!  such a goof! :)

our little fish

lovin the reason for squinting

jude soakin it all in

contrary to his expression here, jude really loved the pool.  he was so cute splashing around.

why can't i have one of these bed/tent things in my backyard?

we rented a mini-van again, and it was a crowd favorite among the kiddos....zoe kept saying, this is the coolest car EVER!

fake smiles

glad to see this in a city that shows everything BUT Jesus on their billboards & signs (i had to do lots of covering eyes for the kiddos)

we went to hoover dam & crossed the walk walk.  last time when we were here, it was being built.

i'm not going to lie, i got complete vertigo when i looked down over the bridge

jude waving

sometimes when i watch them all ahead of me i find myself in disbelief that i have 3 kiddos!

we hit up our favorite restaurant from our last trip to vegas

since we couldn't leave the kiddos behind, Auntie Court & Auntie Sylvia joined us over the weekend to help out with kids & b-sitt in the evenings so I could get away with Bart to the company dinner events. i was SOOOO thankful for them & had a ton of fun with them during the day.

we went through a bunch of amazing hotels down the strip

jude was an amazing traveler. in fact, all the kiddos were great.  i was nervous b/c last year's trip had some hiccups with max in his terrible (and i mean TERRIBLE) twos.
